I just received my lot from CheckOutMyCards (COMC), which included the Justin Duchscherer 2009 Upper Deck Gold #795 /99. That card has been scanned and added to the 2009 page on this website. That brings my total to 191/221 (86.43%)! Only 30 cards to go. It had been a little while since my last Duchscherer mailday, but I just keep chipping away at it and I continue to post my Duchscherer want lists on various forums.
Speaking of the forums, I just received an email today from an individual who has a card on my want list: 2004 SP Authentic USA Signatures /50! Hopefully, I'll be able to work out a deal with him so that I can complete the entire Justin Duchscherer 2004 USA print run. That email definitely perked me up today. I also have emails out to an individual that could have many of the older, non 1/1 cards for my collection. I'm looking forward to seeing how that develops over the coming weeks. I'm also looking forward to (hopefully) hearing back from the individual who has the 2009 Topps Triple Threads Dual Patch Logoman 1/1. That would be a nice Christmas present.
In the meantime, I have been working on my Pete Maravich and Manny Pacquiao collections. I picked up a large lot of Pacquiao's base Allen & Ginter cards, and I will put a large lot on eBay as soon as the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is announced (if it is ever announced, that is). On COMC, I snatched up about twenty Maravich cards, and on eBay I grabbed a Pete Maravich 1971 Topps PSA 8 for my Maravich collection. I'll upload a scan of that card shortly. I have a large quantity of Rickey Henderson cards (maybe 75-100) that I need to inventory for my Rickey Henderson collection (approximately 500 different cards). All in all, these side collections are an inexpensive way to have some fun while I wait for the next big Justin Duchscherer score!
